Shannon on the judging pannel of the So You Think You Can Dance Australia season 4
Shannon was chosen to be a judge in the So You Think You Can Dance Australia reality dance competition along with superstar Paula Abdul, ball room champion Jason Gilkison and one of the original members of Tap Dogs Aaron Cash.
The show was hosted by the lovely Carrie Bickmore who is has been co-hosting Network Ten’s The Project for the past five years.
This is not the first time he has been on the show. Shannon has choreographed on the first two seasons as half of the choreographic duo Project Moda with Simon Lind but he had to leave half way through the second season to go audition for Michael Jackson's "This Is It" tour.
Shannon has contributed greatly to the show as he provided the dancers precise critiquing and technical points to help them improve in every genre they were given, all while keeping it fun and humble. He became very popular with the ladies from the beginning which led the Ten network to promote his charm. “I thought I was on The Bachelor for a minute there,” he said with a laugh during a radio interview.
One of the highlights of the show was when shannon decided to demonstrate while critiquing Jay and Ashleigh’s performance during the second live show. The social media went into frenzy with fans all over the world asking him to dance on the show. Shannon then joined the top 18 the following week as a special guest and danced to a funky fun choreography by Parris Goebel to Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell Williams’ Blurred Lines.
